"Where do I start- I am so thankful for Lynn; she has helped me not only get healthy but to stay focused. Her support through this crazy time is so helpful. She has taught me so many different ways to work out and how to do it right. I have lost 35 pounds and I have another 20 to go but have also learned how to keep myself accountable."
"I primarily was in the 'stress my body out' cycle where I would eat trigger foods (primarily acidic) like coffee, processed foods in the morning and afternoon, then had no energy in the evenings. Having a coach that can relate, listen, and educate me is important and Lynn rocked all three. I am more conscious about what I fuel my body with. I'm eating for energy rather than feeding my emotions. My trigger foods have also been significantly reduced as well."
"I was nervous about doing this program. I'm so excited because of how I feel, and that I've lost weight, have energy, no more stomach aches, less hot flashes and good sleep!!! I can't ask for anything more than that. Progress makes me want to continue! (And no more swelling in hands and feet!) :)"
"Lynn was able to help me work toward my goals by providing meal plans, ideas for supplements, positive encouragement and always being there to answer questions! The biggest changes I have noticed is my hunger and blood sugar have stabilized. I don't feel like my appetite is such a huge problem I'm trying to fight everyday. I lost 10.5 inches and 3.4% body fat in 3 weeks! My clothes fit me better and I feel healthier. I'm back in control of my diet and it feels wonderful!
"I would really recommend Lynn to anyone who is interested in improving their personal selves. She is passionate about helping others to be their best. Her passion shines through when she is talking with you. She won't let you slack off. She helps you to be accountable to your own goals and desires. Like all of us, she has had some tough experiences. These experiences help her to relate to what you might be going through and help you to be the person you want to be."
“So I just have to tell you that when I started this process one of the main things we talked about was my cholesterol and how I wanted to get it down and eventually get off my meds. I had a doctor appointment on Monday and labs on Tuesday. My cholesterol is lower than it has been in 4 years and my doc says I can go off my meds!! I am so happy and want to give you a HUGE THANK YOU for helping me through this whole journey! You are amazing!"
I was born the youngest of three kids and I had a typical northern Minnesota childhood with a bit of a rebellious stage during my teenage years. I grew up fast having a son at the age of sixteen, marrying his father, Matt, at 18 and then 10 years later having two more boys to complete our family of 5. My boys are now ages 33, 24 and 22 and they are my greatest accomplishments. My health and wellness issues began after I got married and slowly gained 60 pounds by emotional eating and not paying attention to my self care. I was a heavy smoker for many years along with eating junk food so I was always tired and felt like crap. I was a little ashamed and I knew that I needed to make changes for myself, and also for my family because I wanted to be healthy and happy and lead by example. So I slowly made changes by researching and connecting with people that led a lifestyle that interested me, and it has taken many years to get where I am now and I still have a lot of work to do. My husband and I started a machining/welding/repair business in 2003 (Boyer Mechanical Services, Inc.) and we worked very well together growing it until I made the decision for a career change to an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. This change has also brought us to CrossFit Bemidji, which we are now the proud owners of! What a perfect way to get my community healthy!! I live a full, busy, active life - filled with people I love, things I like to do, boating, fishing, cooking, laughing, exercise, gardening, and running here and there. If you are reading this, it probably sounds very similar to your life. There are a lot more stories I could plug in here which has brought me to this place and stage of my life but just know that I’m about as ‘real’ a person you’ll ever meet.
A healthy and active lifestyle has been a passion of mine for a long time but until the concept of health coaching for individuals and families became accepted, I did not have an avenue to practice my passion. Since becoming a health coach and a CrossFit CF-L2 trainer, I now have the education and resources to share with my community, near and far. Everyone has a story and the struggle is real. I’d love to hear your story and try and help you find a way to appreciate who you are meant to be. My Personal Mission Statement: To coach and motivate people into healthy living by using my passion for knowledge, commitment to my community, organizational and prioritizing skills, and love of laughter!
Thank you and let's talk soon!
I've heard this story and lived it myself. Are you living the ride of the never-ending cycle of trying every new fad diet out there? Do you know WHAT you want and would sometimes get there, but can't stay there? I bet you have certain goals and dreams but aren't sure how you will be able to reach and sustain them for the rest of your life.
Sometimes we get to a certain point of living in a hole of confusion with another fight with weight gain. Or your energy keeps getting depleted and you can't sleep, for no reason at all. Maybe after all those diets, your digestive system just isn't quite right and it needs a break.
You could probably use some help in finding your balance. As a certified health coach, I am here to be that support for you. I can get you started by helping you set some very realistic goals, and then hold you accountable!
There is a process to this, and it doesn't happen overnight. That's why it's important to reach out for a little help to get some support from someone that has been trained for that and who also happens to be very passionate about getting their community healthy... your health and wellness are worth it!
I would love to meet with you---how does a free wellness consultation sound? We can talk about what you are currently working on, or maybe start with one new goal. It's a discovery session to see where you want to begin and how I can best support you. So, what is your WHY? Is it to live to 100 and be active at 100 so you can enjoy chasing your grandkids, nieces, nephews, spending time with friends and family? Maybe you plan on traveling? Don't wait any longer... now is the time so scroll down to schedule that consultation with me and we'll get motivated together!
Check our hours listed below, but please note, we have scheduled classes so appointments are recommended if you have questions or would like a tour of the facility. Trainers that are in session may not be available for questions so please call ahead.
We look forward to hearing from you!
