Tell us about yourself: I am wife, and a mother of 3 children. Chasity 7, Corbin 5, Coy 3. I just finished my Elementary education degree. I am currently a substitute teacher in the Bemidji area.
What made you start CrossFit? I needed a change in my work out routine, and I was told about CrossFit by a friend. I decided to give it a try and have been hooked ever since.
What are you most thankful for since starting? My friendships I have made through the gym. Most importantly getting SWOL! LOL
What impact has CrossFit had on your life in and out of the gym? I have made lasting friendships and have enjoyed a much healthier lifestyle.
What are your goals and how close are you to reaching them? Doing pullups, handstand pushups strict, and double unders. I am still a working progress, but in seriousness I can do 1 jumping pull up from the floor without mats, I can do handstand pushup with 3 mats under my head, and I can do 1 double under and then a single and then a double under again.
One thing you'd say to someone who is thinking about starting CrossFit? Just walk through the doors, and the people and atmosphere will keep you coming.
What was your biggest misconception about CrossFit? That everyone was elite SWOL athletes. In reality, there are all levels of athletes in the gym.
Favorite Workout/Movement? Wall balls, because it is something that I am very successful at.
Have your eating habits improved? If so, how? With working out I have seen results, but to see greater results I have since changed my eating habits. Currently, I am doing intermittent fasting, and fueling my body with protein, fruits, and veggies. Since this change I have noticed my workout have been improving, and overall, I have more energy throughout the entire day.
