Tell us about yourself: I am a retired painter stay at home dad. I love to be active doing things out doors like biking skiing and fishing (both open water and iced).
What made you start CrossFit? After being actively in shape and successfully completing a spartan I had shoulder surgery. I added a few extra pounds and needed to do something to get back into shape.
What are you most thankful for since starting?
Besides loosing the weight, the support and accountability to have a more active life with my wife and kids.
What impact has CrossFit had on your life in and out of the gym? I feel better about myself both in and out of the gym.
What are your goals and how close are you to reaching them?
I would love to be back to 200 pounds or just below it. Currently I have a fluctuating ten to fifteen pounds to go.
One thing you'd say to someone who is thinking about starting CrossFit? Do it. No one will judge you on what you can and cannot do. They will just help you be the best you can be.
What was your biggest misconception about CrossFit?
That you need to be in shape to even start to do it.

Have your eating habits improved? If so, how? Yes. I eat less junk food and do my best to eat more veggies and lean protein
